Near Infrared Shock Vulcanization

Shock vulcanization for rubber and silicone

At a production speed of the line of approx. 15m/min and at an inlet temperature of the extrudate of approx. 90°C, the surface heats up to over 200°C.

This unit serves to significantly improve the following aspects of rubber vulcanisation by scorching the surface through 360°:

  • Increased productivity (higher production speeds > 25%)

  • Increased stability of lip profiles (elimination of support cords)

  • Higher energy input for non-conductive compounds (UHF)

  • Reduction of belt marks

  • Improvement of the surface structure of sponge rubber profiles
