Near infrared shock vulcanisation

Rubber vulcanisation

NIRV 201 Shock Vulcanization Device

At a production speed of the line of about 15m/min and at an inlet temperature of the extrudate of about 90°C, the surface heats up to over 200°C.
This unit is used to significantly improve the following points in rubber vulcanization by scorching the surface 360°:

  • Increase in productivity (higher production speeds > 25%)
  • Increase in the stability of lip profiles (elimination of support cords)
  • Improvement of the surface structure of sponge rubber profiles
  • Higher energy input with non-conductive mixtures (UHF)
  • Reduction of tape marks
